Tracy W. Krohn has served as Chief Executive Officer since he founded the Company in 1983, as Chairman since 2004 and as Treasurer since 1997. Prior to founding W&T, Mr. Krohn was senior engineer with Taylor Energy. From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Krohn was also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aviara Energy Corporation in Houston, Texas. He began his career as a petroleum engineer and offshore drilling supervisor with Mobil Oil Corporation. He graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1978.

J.F. Freel has served as a director since our founding in 1983 and Secretary of our Company since 1984. In 1964, he became founder and president of Kiowa Minerals Company, a company that engaged in development drilling operations in Texas and Louisiana until 1983. In 1945 he was founder and president of Research Explorations, Inc., a geophysical survey contractor to major oil companies, until it was sold in 1963. Prior he spent eleven years with the Humble Oil and Refining Company as a geophysicist.

Jamie L. Vazquez was appointed President in September 2008. Ms. Vazquez joined the Company in 1998 and was most recently Vice President, Land, a position she has held since 2003. Prior to joining us, Ms. Vazquez was with CNG Producing Company for 17 years lastly serving as Manager, Land/Business Development Gulf of Mexico with prior experience as Onshore Land Manager and Senior Landman-Mid-Continent Region. Ms. Vazquez received a B.S. in Management from University of Tulsa in 1984.

Stephen L. Schroeder was named Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in July, 2006. Prior to that he was Vice President of Production from 2005-2006. Prior to that, he served as Production Manager since 1999 after joining us as Staff Reservoir Engineer in 1998. Prior to joining our Company, Mr. Schroeder was with Exxon USA for 12 years serving successively as an Offshore Division reservoir engineer; financial analyst conducting deepwater profitability studies; team leader evaluating company reserves, gas plants and operating expenses; and acquisition engineer responsible for acquisition and divestiture evaluations. Mr. Schroeder received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1985 and a M.B.A in Finance from Loyola University of New Orleans in 1989.

J. Daniel Gibbons joined the Company in 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.He was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Westlake Chemical Corporation, a worldwide commodity chemical company traded on the NYSE. Prior to joining Westlake, Mr. Gibbons was with Valero Energy Corporation, beginning his career there in 1981, holding positions of increasing responsibility, ending as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from January 1998 through the end of 2003. Prior to joining Valero, Mr. Gibbons spent five years working in the Houston office of Deloitte & Touche, where his practice was concentrated in the energy industry. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society and Houston chapter of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in December 1975.
